Reviews

  • " Rusty Lake has been enchanting players with its odd (in a good way) sensibility and approach to puzzle games, and now the developer is ready to release another game, Cube Escape: The Cave. I know that for most of you, the name Rusty Lake is enough to make you go and grab the game, but for those who haven't played a Cube Escape game yet, this series of puzzle and escape room games has great puzzles to solve but, more importantly for me, a lovely sense of dread that you can't easily replicate. "
    - Tasos Lazarides, TouchArcade
  • " Long-time fans of the series will find Cube Escape: The Cave a worthy entry, expanding upon elements of the overarching narrative. A less coherent story and confusing puzzles can frustrate, but overall polish and creepy atmosphere helps to elevate The Cave above those aspects."
    - Christian Valentin, Pocket Gamer
  • " Cube Escape: The Cave is the ninth entry in the Cube Escape series and the eleventh game set in the Rusty Lake universe. Like its predecessors, The Cave offers a steady stream of challenging escape the room puzzles presented in a surreal yet still matter-of-fact setting."
    - Jillian Werner, GameZebo
    - Floris Poort, Nu.nl
  • " Cube Escape: The Cave takes place at an as-yet unexplored area of Rusty Lake. Players of the previous games will recognize the point-and-click adventure style. There’s all-new hand-drawn artwork that you can explore, too. Your time will dive deeper into the “detectives” storyline as well as the over-arching plot of the Cube Escape games as a whole. It’s a ton of fun to see items and characters from the other games as they reprise their roles in a brand new setting with fresh puzzles."
    - Rob LeFebvre, AppAdvice

Victor Butzelaar
Victor designed the atmospheric and suspense soundtrack for The Cave .

Bob Rafferty
Awesome voice-over for Mr. Owl and Mr.Crow .
